This is the second of the series. I say series because these are not cliffhangers but they are told by the author in the form of a series. You really need to read them in order. Otherwise, you will loose the story line and they are told in such a way that you don't feel compelled to buy the next but you want to find out what she has in store for you.In this one Cassie is frustrated with the treatment the pack is inflicting on her and her need to develop her gifts. Plus there is an added element of another female shifter, who is beautiful and who is trying very hard to take Rafe away from her. Cassie is a strong human but cannot compete with the a shifter in a head to head. She is in love with Rafe and yet she feels that she is holding the pack back in her role as the alpha female to a shifter pack.
The story leave you at time of crisis but it also leaves you knowing that while there is trouble in paradise Cassie and Rafe are still committed to each other and are trying to work for good of all. I have book three to read but am taking a break from the series to read some others stories as well. I think this really adds to the first but the content is somewhat dark and I need a break before going on. I think you might like this one and it is worth the time and the price and I think you probably will like it as well.

Another great series, I loved book 1 and 2 and am now waiting for book 3 to come out. Its a good shifter book with some romance along the way.
This is the second book I've read in this serial and I honestly can say I'm awed...I love these books and recommend them to everyone...the characters are amazing and so is the author...
This second installment is more intense and exciting and filled with twice the passion of the first book! I am looking forward to the next book. Scarlett Grove has set the bar, how will Rafe and Cassandra work everything out???
This book is an engaging and intriguing read. The story structure is strong and the characters are believable. I look forward to finding out what happens to Rafe and Cassie as well as the pack. There are a great deal of possibilities for this story.
Another great installment in this ponderous series. Can hardly wait for the next book. The author does a great job of drawing the readers in, making you want more and more... I loved it.
I have read both books in the saga thus far and believe I have found one truly great read. A well written series of detailed possibilites. Marked by the Alpha is the accounting of Rate (A wolf shifter) and Cassowaries (A human who has escaped captivity) and become a mated pair. With Alien Vampires Zombies and other factions thrown in this saga reaches out and holds the reader mesmorized with each paragraph. I can hardly waite for the next book.
This is a great book. I found myself entwined into Cassy's life. Filling her motions as she moves on with her life with Rafe and the pack. I actually got very jealous as Nadine enters into the story. ( And no wonder) You won't be sorry when you purchase this one. I can't wait for book 3.
