The story was well written and flowed well. It was a fast read but I just personally HATED Shana, the major female character. Strong women in romances I like but Shana was more the agressive-you-want-to-wring-her-neck type of woman. Even the reason for her behavior that was revealed by the author was not enough to make me like her even a little bit. And the female characters from the first story in the series are back but their pathetic submission and fear of Shana made me dislike them too. Except for a couple of them, these females were too much like lionesses and not enough like human females with spines. Still for the price of the Kindle book (I got it for less than $3), try it out for yourself and see if you feel the same way I do.Product details

In the second Serengeti Shifters novella, lion shifter Shana Delray returns to the Three Rocks Pride territory after several months away. Bred from childhood to be the mate of the alpha of the pride, she doesn’t care about love, only dominance and power. Even though Landon, the alpha, chose another woman, she’s determined to challenge Landon’s mate and take the woman’s place. Then she runs into her ex-lover and the only man she has ever really wanted, and her plans start to unravel.
Caleb Minor is the new alpha’s lieutenant and completely loyal to him. Even though he knows Shana is back to win Landon, Caleb cannot keep from sleeping with her whenever she demands it. After a decade plus of hurt and betrayal, he still secretly cares for Shana but doesn’t trust her.
I liked Caleb for the most part, even though he constantly let Shana manipulate him and break his heart. I don’t understand why Caleb would even want Shana since she was always so cruel to his younger sister, whom he was very protective of. That just didn’t make sense to me.
I couldn’t connect with Shana at all, but I definitely felt sorry for her, given the way her abusive mother had controlled her and brawl beat her for so many years.
Landon and Ava returned from book one, so it was nice seeing them again. Caleb’s brothers didn’t play a large role in this story, and I found that disappointing.
The story is well written without any typos from what I noticed. Though I liked the overall plot, I wish I could’ve connected better with the heroine.

Shana was not a very likable character but you don't hate her either. Overall an ok read not as good as the first serengeti shifters book.
I found this story to be a nice read, but fairly predictable as to the directions of the characters. I would like to have had more build-up with the characters & more excitement with the direction they took. Because of the lack of this, the characters seemed weak & flitty, not exactly what you expect from uber-alphas. Other than that, good read.
Great story line just too short
I like Vivi wish she had a variety if women in her books not just blonde n blue eyed but it was good
Loved it. All of the Serengeti books are great. If u read one, you'll have to get the rest of them
Vivi Andrews has bought another WOWSER to the table. I'm not going to sum up the story - others have done that and I don't want to add any details that might turn out to spoil it for another reader.
What I will say is that Shana Delray is one of those characters that will suck you under. She makes you mad, she makes you cry, and then she makes you jump up and down and cheer.
Vivi Andrews has displayed truly masterful writing and brings the dynamics of this story to culmination in wonderfully explosive fashion.
It's a strong follow-up to SERENGETI HEAT and I strongly recommend it as a satisfying read.
